Sandy and the Heidecker family, please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss. Dick was a huge presence in our family for many years...always welcoming and smiling as we all would clamber into your house for holiday dinners, family reunions and any kind of get together to celebrate a member of the family. He was always willing to help Sandy get ready for these gatherings and always helped with the clean-up...he is one in a million, for sure!
I know God met Dick at the gates of Heaven with open arms and as He hugged Dick, he whispered, "Welcome Home, good and faithful servant. You completed the jobs on earth that I sent you to do; helping others and loving your worldly family."
Rest easy, Dick...you will always be remembered with deep affection.
We met several years ago while he attended his grandson’s football game—my son was his teammate. He was kind and rooted for all the kids. His legacy is in his family. I know several of them and he leaves behind a family that is so caring and loving and supportive of all the Columbia family. All this is a testament of the role model he was. So many hugs and prayers for you all! You are blessed that he was your role model.
