Helen Dimitroff's Obituary
Helen Dimitroff, née Gombos, 86, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away on April 25, 2026. Born in Barberton, Helen lived a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to her family—values she carried with quiet strength and shared generously with everyone around her.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Dimitroff Sr., with whom she shared 35 years of marriage before his passing in 1996. Together, they built a life defined by hard work, resilience, and deep commitment to one another and to their family. For 40 years, Strongsville was her home, where she created a place filled with warmth, care, and unwavering support.
Helen’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Randy (Rose), Sharon (Ron), and Thomas Jr. (Mimi), who were the center of her world. She took immense pride in her grandchildren—Dillon, Hailey, Bryce, Joshua, Savahannah, Mason, and Aja Neve—and found special happiness in becoming a great-grandmother to Ellis. Whether through a kind word, a steady presence, or a simple act of care, she made each of them feel deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Stephen and Julia Gombos; and her siblings, Steve, Joe, Anne, Louie, Martha, David, Florence, Julie, and Delores.
Those who knew Helen will remember her for her gentle and strong spirit, her quiet resilience, and the way she made others feel safe, cared for, and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.
