Harry V. Holland's Obituary
Harry V. Holland age 90. Born in Cleveland, OH son of Willma and George V. Holland. After graduating from John Marshall High School, Harry earned a business degree from Baldwin Wallace where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. He subsequently served two years in the Army Signal Corp in Korea.
Harry started a career in municipal bond underwriting and spent the next 30 years working for McDonald & Company in Cleveland. After settling in Strongsville in 1964, Harry and his late wife Janice traveled extensively, adopted and raised two children and contributed generously to the arts and community.
Harry loved music and sweets, the Indians and Cavs, sailing and spending time at Lake Chatauqua, rides through the Metroparks. He always had an appreciation for a fine car and continued to get speeding tickets into his 80’s.
Harry is preceded in death by his brother Richard Holland and his true love Janice May Roberts. Harry is survived by his brother Robert Bruce (Janet) of Knoxville and sister, Carol Raker of Dayton; son Andrew Holland of Berea, daughter Melissa (Louis) Dunn of Hampshire, and three grandchildren – Carly, Colin, and Anne.
VISITATION SUNDAY May 5, 2019 from 11AM-1PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Private family interment at Strongsville Cemetery.
