Dear Cousins Thelma and Sons,
I don't believe I ever met the three of you but I recall looking through my mother's family photos to see a beautiful young woman (Thelma) with an handsome husband (Harold) sitting in a chair, with two beautiful little blonde boys at their side. My mother always told me you were Aunt Stella's children/grandchildren.
Len, I do remember your dynamic Aunt Mary and your Aunt Marie. Your Aunt Marie took me to Woolworth's when I was about 10 and bought me a 45 record with a song by Connie Frances: "Lipstick on my Color". I was so happy! I know your Uncle Faye and Aunt Barbara.
I met your Uncle Charles, your Aunt Virginia, and maybe your Uncle Harry one time when I was very young.
Knowing how precious all your sisters and brothers are/were, I regret that I never met you, Thelma, your dear Harold, and your two sons. My deceased mother, Blanche, loved all of you and must have spent a lot of time with you before she met my Dad, Arlie, who recently died.
I send my sincere condolences in the loss your dear husband, Harold Taylor, as well as to your two sons in the loss of their loving father.
"Grief and pain are the price we humans have to pay for the love
and total commitment we have for another person, the more we
love, the more we are hurt when we lose the objection of our love.
But if we are honest with ourselves, would we have it anyother
way?" ~C.S. Lewis
