Halyna “Lynn” Galish (Cykalo)
Lynn Galish, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025 due to complications of leukemia. She was born on January 10, 1942 to the late Gregory and Mylanka Cykalo. She was a sister to Walter Cykalo (deceased) (Nancy) and Katerina Danzinger. She was the beloved wife of the late Steven Anthony Galish; devoted mother to Deborah Lynn Vargo (Steven) and Denise Ann Mott (Stephen); dearest grandmother to Mia Vargo Muhney, Hannah Mott Robinson (Conner) and Jack Mott. Loving great grandmother to Daren Muhney and a loving Aunt to many.
Lynn was of Ukrainian descent and came to America with her family in October, 1949. Their first home was in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland’s Lincoln High School and retired from the Brecksville VA medical center. She was a lifelong resident of Strongsville where she was a member of St. John Neumann church and active at Strongsville Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family, and volunteering at St. John Neumann.
ALL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2025 AT ST. JOHN NEUMANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16271 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE, OHIO. FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED FROM 10:00 AM UNTIL THE TIME OF MASS AT 11:00 AM, ALSO AT CHURCH. INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW AT HOLY CROSS CEMETERY.
