Gregory "Greg" James Gerlich's Obituary
Gregory “Greg” James Gerlich, age 61 of Strongsville, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026 at MetroHealth Main Campus.
Greg was born on January 19, 1965 in Cleveland, OH, to Frederick “Ted” and Rita Jean (Sullivan) Gerlich. He married the love of his life, Joyce Marks, and together they’ve spent 33 years together raising the most beautiful family, and creating so many memories together. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed so deeply by his family and those who knew him.
He was a proud member of the Eagle Scouts, and was a dedicated Cleveland Sports fan. He collected baseball hats, always making sure that wherever they went, he checked out the selection to see if he could add one to his collection. Greg also had a soft spot for animals of all kinds.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Gerlich; children: Ryan (Dominique Villa) Gerlich, and Meghan Gerlich; grandchild, Ezra Gerlich; brothers: John, and Dennis Gerlich; and sister, Mary Rookard.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ted and Rita Gerlich; and brother, Fred Gerlich.
