For years Gert and I shared trips from Aiken, SC, to Northern Ohio. Neighbors at home, but driving, a team sharing stories and experiences. Once Gert expertly avoided running into a truck that had just been hit in front of us. On Highway 77 we were stranded for hours when a carnival pop corn truck caught fire. One time we stopped at Hooters for lunch, to the delight of all the wait staff there. Special memories of a special person. I am richer to have known her.
