Gertrude Mary Heisner's Obituary
Ronald Reagan said, wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories." Gertrude Mary Heisner, was a beautiful soul who left her family and friends many beautiful memories to cherish forever. She passed away peacefully on November 15, 2018 at the age of 89 and joins her brothers and sisters, an end of an era.
Gertrude was born on September 9, 1929 in Lackawanna, New York. She moved to Ohio where she met Raymond Heisner, who upon seeing her, knew she was the one. They shared 67 years together, enjoying trips, watching sports, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Some of her most cherished times were with her children, Rae Alexander and her husband Don, Keith Heisner and his wife Lorie, and Loreen Steele and her husband Al, as well as with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Andrew Alexander, his wife Holly and their children Rory and Rosie, Mollie Chandler and her husband Chad, Kellen Alexander, Aubrey Alexander, Abbie Shinn, her husband Trai, and their son Cooper, Colby Alexander, Evan Steele, wife Tanya, and their son Carson, Emily Steele, and Albert Steele and his fiancé Sara Hnizdil.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Southwest Residential Hospice, where Gertrude spent her last days, well taken care of by the kind and supportive staff.
