Gerald T. Kocan, 85
Loving father of Michelle Hennis (Matthew), Cheryl Butcher (Brian), and Jerry Kocan (Kimberly). He was a dedicated and loving husband of 43 years to his wife, Helene C. Kocan (nee Pertz), whom preceded him in death. He was the brother of Janet Adam. He was a grandfather to seven grandsons, Brian, Joseph, Brandon (Shana), Kevin, Anthony, Nathan (Taylor), and Justin. He was also able to enjoy his great grandchildren.
He worked as an inspector in the steel mills, and his hobbies included golfing, gardening, trips to the casinos and spending time with his kids and grandsons. His signature style was his white t-shirt and a flannel . He was in the Army Reserves and served his country in Vietnam.
VISITATION SUNDAY, MARCH 1, 2026 from 1PM-4PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2026 at 11AM at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W. 130th St, Brunswick. Interment will take place immediately following the mass on MONDAY at 1:45PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
