Rick was a high school classmate , friend , and football teammate of mine at Whetstone HS, Columbus , OH. we enjoyed many HS reunions together . I'm saddened by his loss and will miss him. God Bless Valerie and family.

Rick was my mentor & friend- he taught me what I know about insurance during my years at The G. F. Hoch Company. I will smile when I remember him sitting at his desk overlooking the view of Chester Commons-Downtown. After working hard all day, at quitting time on a Friday, the stereo would blare from his office with one of his favorite songs. Lee Greenwod singing -’I am Proud to be an American’. He told me the song celebrated all he felt: “If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children & my wife. I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today… And I'm proud to be an American". He was so proud to be a Veteran! But, it was his family that was most important-especially Valerie, Derek, & Sean who meant the world to him. He will be missed.
We will miss our friend. May Rick's memory be a blessing to you always, and may he rest in Paradise.
