George Frederick Simon, Jr. age 70.
George Frederick Simon, Jr. passed away Sunday October 20, 2019. Beloved husband of 38 years to the late MaryAnn Simon; loving father of Becky (Gerry) Corbo, Matt, Greg, and Sara (Mike) Rumer; brother of Jacqueline (Jerry), Sharon (James), and Charles (Susanne); adoring Grandfather of Ava, Jacob, Joseph, and Allie; he is preceded in death by his son Gregory, and parents George Sr. and Barbara Simon. George enlisted in the Ohio National Guard and later became a Captain in the US Army Reserve. He also enjoyed participating in his children’s activities as a Scout Leader and CYO coach. He is the beloved father to his cherished dog Harry and Grandfather to his many grand dogs. Visitation will be held Thursday October 24, 2019 from 4-8PM at Jardine Funeral Home 15822 Pearl Road Strongsville, OH 44136. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 16271 Pearl Road Strongsville, OH 44136 Friday October 25, 2019 at 10AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MaryAnn Simon Scholarship Fund at Sts. Joseph and John School 12580 Pearl Road Strongsville, OH 44136 or the Wounded Warrior Project , P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
