I had the pleasure of knowing Gene through the Arbors of Bridgewater HOA. He was kind, professional, and very helpful. So much so that, I also used him for my personal taxes. Sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad & grandpa. I was a client of Gene's and knew him from Christ the King. He was always so very kind and gracious to me and it was so very highly appreciated. He always spoke of his daughters & always had a great, faith filled story to share. I will never forget his kindness to me. May the Lord comfort and bless you in your loss.
Michele and Lauren. Kurt and I are very sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. We have very fond memories of your dad when we all lived in Columbia Station. We always had such fun and he always made us laugh. We are so sorry. Kurt and Vickie Schwager
I am shocked and saddened at Gene's death. We met in 1983 when we both had solo offices in the same building in Rocky River. We became long-time colleagues (personal income tax preparers) and friends over the ensuing years, sharing information and opinions on tax issues. My nickname for Gene was "The Oracle" because he always had the right answer to whatever tax question we were discussing at the time. We golfed together each April with Gary Hotz and Kurt Reichley to mark the end of "tax season". Our annual golf date was Gene's opportunity to remind us that "its only my first time out on the golf course this year" as he pocketed our dollars at the 19th hole. He infamously bragged that he could hit the golf ball 300 yards and then he backed it up, forever after being known by us, affectionately, as "Long Gene"! We will miss him....
Gene and I being in the accounting industry would chat periodically and laugh as well. My brother Ken introduced me to Gene when I moved back here to Ohio from California. I will really miss my interactions with him in person, on the phone, on Messenger, and especially on Facebook. God Bless his heart in Heaven. He's counting pennies there now. Blessings to your entire family and friends. Michelle Nehez
Michele, and Lauren. I am so sorry to hear this news. Gene and I have friends on facebook many years, he even came to visit me one day on his way to Columbus. We also talked a lot on the phone and did a lot of laughing, He was one heck of a good man. He spoke of you girls a lot and his grandkids. I am shocked. I did not know he was ill. He did leave a message he would be back but it would be awhile, he was gone such a long time, I private messaged his friend. But he did not tell me what was going on with Gene, just to keep him in my thoughts. I did, and prayed for my friend. I loved when he would call and we would laugh at the silliest things. He was one of the BEST. I have you all in my thoughts and prayer's.
