I met Gary in Junior high and went on to graduate High school with him. He was one of the kindest and smartest people you would ever want to know. I remember his quiet nature and how he always had a calm and gentle spirit....and smile. I know he will be greatly missed and convey my sympathy to his family and friends....you are in my prayers.##imported-begin##Nickcole Sigley Ridenour##imported-end##
To the dear family and friends of Gary:
Please accept my true sympathy for the loss of a wonderful man. I had known Gary throughout school. Our paths crossed quite often in general classes, from Kindergarten through graduation, and in band. Gary touched my life with kindness and friendship throughout those years. He always had a kind word or smile for everyone. I am certain that he became an extraordinary man, as he always was when we were younger. May God touch your hearts at this time, and always.##imported-begin##Jodi (Greaser) Wotring##imported-end##
For the six years from junior high through high school I had almost every class with Gary. I recall one band trip when we stopped at a mall and the two of us went to a piano store. He proceeded to select some sheet music he had never seen before and played it for the first time on one of the nicest pianos in the store. Anyone walking by would have thought he had played the song many times before. His musical aptitude was outstanding. Voted most likely to succeed by the senior class, Gary was everyone's friend and excelled at all he did. I also remember his graduation speech themed around "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. Gary is someone I had wished to reconnect with and regret that I never did. Even my wife, who never met Gary, knows about him because I was exuberant when I thought I spotted him in Houston, TX, about 8 years ago. As evidenced by all the kind words above, Gary was someone who left an impression on all he met. I hope his family finds comfort in how he touched so many in memorable ways during his brief time with us.##imported-begin##Westley Cox##imported-end##
Gary and I met in junior high school and then graduated together in 1991. He was in a lot of the same classes that I was and was always willing to help you. He was a quiet and calm person. He was very talented in many ways and was blessed by his strong faith and determination. My deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones. May they find comfort in God's love and know that Gary will be missed by many. Love & prayers!##imported-begin##Alysia Clarkson##imported-end##

Gary and I met in preschool and then again in junior high and then graduated together from CPHS in 1991. We were in many classes together including band. He was without a doubt one of the nicest and most talented people I have ever met. I pray for his family and friends during this time.##imported-begin##Heather Bobo Ferguson##imported-end##
I met Gary in high school and we graduated together in 1991 from Central Preston High School. Having come from Rowlesburg and being consolidated with Central after the flood of '85, it was a very awkward change for me. Gary was always very nice to help me find my way around, answer questions, and make me feel welcome. I will always remember his kind and gentle smile. :) He was one of those people who makes an impression on your life that you never forget. The world will be missing a lot without him, but Heaven will be better for having him. Much Love and Many Blessings to his family and friends at this time.##imported-begin##Sherry L. Gary was one of my students at Central Preston/Preston Academic Center. He was on our JETS Math Science and Engineering Team which won a regional competition at Bethany College, shocking all the Pennsylvania Schools. I had a long conversation with him on that bus trip, talking about his plans for a future in Christian music. He was a delightful young man, fabulous pianist, rock solid in his faith as a teenager. Even though I haven't seen him for several years, I remember him fondly - he and his witness made a lasting impression on me. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.##imported-begin##Jeanne Lemasters##imported-end##
