Frank J. Bethardy aka “Captain Elvis”, 85, passed away March 5, 2023. Beloved husband of 60 years to Myrna G. Bethardy. Loving father of Denise L. Taylor (Brian C. Taylor). Son of the late Frank and Betty Bethardy. Brother of Bonnie Heger (Walter), Jeanne Schwarz and the late Sharon Kimble. Dear grandfather of Bridget A. Bethardy and Jaclyn A. Taylor. U.S. Army Veteran. Frank retired from the Cleveland Fire Department after 30 years. He was fondly referred to as, “Captain Elvis”. After retirement, Frank went on to work as a security guard at the Cleveland Public Library. He loved to go on walks at the Metroparks, enjoyed old cars, weightlifting, and lottery tickets – especially winning ones! Most of all, Frank deeply loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
