Frances Siedel's Obituary
Frances Siedel, age 99, passed away peacefully the morning of June 29, 2021.Frances was born October 30, 1921, the middle daughter of 5 to the late Anthony and Victoria Wosicki of Berea Ohio. Frances is survived by her children Colleen and John Schmitt of Sidney OH and Kurt Siedel of Strongsville OH and nephew Ralph Siedel. She is preceded in death by her first husband the late Willis Siedel and her second husband the late Melvin Siedel, her daughter Gayle Glover and nephew Carl Siedel. Loving sister of the late Loretta Bruckner. Florence Stewart and Blanche Novak. Her sister Alice Taller survives. Also surviving are her grandchildren J. Jason Schmitt, Howell Glover III, Laura Mann, Andrew Glover and Cara Babon as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren Frances was born in Berea OH and graduated second in her class from Berea High School. She was an administrative assistant at the General Motors Company where she was employed for over 30 years. Frances was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering for the Strongsville Historical Society. At the age of 14 Frances discovered her strong love for music and started playing the piano and organ. In retirement she enjoyed traveling and was exceptional at needle work. She enjoyed word puzzles and game shows such as Jeopardy. Frances had a strong love for the Cleveland Indians. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville OH 44136, Saturday July 10, 2021, from 10:30-11:30Am where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
