Florence Ann Breitenbach's Obituary
Florence Ann Breitenbach, affectionately known as Flo-Ann to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 85 in Strongsville, Ohio. Born on May 23, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Francis and Florence Szafranski, Flo-Ann's life was one of compassion, dedication, and love.
Flo-Ann was the beloved wife of 60 years to Robert C. Breitenbach. Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. She was the loving mother of Kathy Pulice (Tom) and Karen Atkinson (Brian), whose lives were deeply enriched by her unwavering support and kindness. Flo-Ann was the proud grandmother of Ryan, Alexandra "Alex" (Brandon), Sydney, and Madeline "Maddie," who will remember her for her gentle spirit and the warmth of her smile.
She is survived by her devoted twin sister, Dorothy Shaft (the late Walter), and was the dear sister of the late Frank Szafranski (Rita; surviving). Flo-Ann's extended family of nieces and nephews knew her as a caring and attentive aunt.
Flo-Ann's nurturing nature extended well beyond her family. She was a caretaker in the truest sense, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her door was open to anyone in need, and her hands were never idle when there was a way for her to help. Her concern for everyone and everything was a testament to her generous heart.
Throughout her life, Flo-Ann's actions spoke volumes about her character. She was the embodiment of selflessness, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her kindness touched the lives of many, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we bid farewell to Flo-Ann, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, care, and an unending commitment to others. Her spirit will forever be a beacon of light for her family, guiding them with the lessons of compassion and selflessness she so effortlessly exemplified.
