Florence Celeste Alexander's Obituary
Florence C. Alexander (Diorio), passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022, she was 86 years old. She was a beloved wife to Robert (deceased) for 62 years and a loving Mother to her children Brian (Jere), David, Carla and Lisa. She was preceeded in death, by her loving parents Adolfo Diorio and Valentina Chiaverini and siblings: brothers Alfred, Oswald, Aldo & Arnold, sisters Elvira, Delia & Gilda.
Dear grandmother to Teresa, Sean, Shannon and Brian. Great grandmother to Luca. Florence was born and raised in Mingo Junction, OH. She was a majorette in High School.
A resident of Strongsville for 61 years. She worked for the Strongsville School System as an elementary school administrative assistant for 21 years, retiring in 1993. Florence was an avid sports fan who loved the Indians, Browns, Cavaliers and Ohio State football. She also enjoyed playing the slot machines in Vegas and local casinos.
She was very proud of her large Italian family and heritage. A loyal friend to many who will be dearly missed, however not forgotten. May she rest in peace.
VISITATION will be held on THURSDAY, January 5th from 4pm - 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on FRIDAY, January 6th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Burial will be taking place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
