Fleurette Antoinette Gelinas' Obituary
Fleurette Antoinette Gelinas (née Rabouin), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother/LouLou, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 97.
Fleurette was born in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada on November 2, 1927. She married the love of her life, Bernard, on May 18, 1953, and the two moved to Cleveland, Ohio to begin their life together. Their marriage lasted sixty-nine years and blessed them with two children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Denise Martin (Bruce Benjamin), son Steven Gelinas (Kristin), grandchildren Kelly Weaver (Jimmy), Kevin Martin (Shannon Carroll), Kate Martin (Pete Rowe), Alexis Leonhardt (Ben), Austin Gelinas, Peyton Gelinas, and Parker Gelinas, and seven great-grandchildren: Nolan, Lucy, Elliot, Noah, Griffin, Quinn, and Claire. She has been reunited with her husband Bernard, her parents Irénée and Rose Anna (née Lacoursière) Rabouin, and her siblings Gilles, Regent, Guy, and Anita.
Fleurette held a special place in her heart for children and babies, and one of her greatest joys in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To best honor her memory, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity or organization that supports children and babies to continue her legacy of love that she shared so freely.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10AM on Friday June 13, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road Strongsville, OH 44136 (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
