This one totally caught me by surprise. Will do all I can to get up there today, but it will be hard with some of the Friday Night football commitments I have scheduled.
Eric was one of those that let you know he was there and was always flashing that smile. Not to say he needed the spotlight, but the spotlight definitely found him. He was loud, he was boisterous, he was confident, he lived life and he had fun with all life offered. He played football the same way he lived his life...to the fullest. He was a blast to watch play and one that you were glad was on your team and not on the team you were playing. He made plays, he stopped plays. He was a ball hawk, but also loved to deliver the big hit. He talked nonstop during games, but he walked the walk as well. He backed up what he said and he laid it all on the line on Friday nights. Absolute beast on the field and an absolute blast to play with.
Have so many memories, but most are ones that are meant to be remembered by the ones he made those memories with. Not that they were bad, but they were always unique and always full of something that probably could have gotten us into trouble, but ultimately never did. It was the magic of Eric. Always had a blast with him and always were able to have the times of our lives.
He will definitely be missed and I definitely share my condolences with his family and all those that knew him. Definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Way too young to be gone and he will definitely be missed by all that knew him and those that were able to call him a friend and spend time with him under the lights and one the practice fields. We lost a father, a brother, a son, and uncle and so much more.
