Elisabeth M. Cole, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, in Strongsville, Ohio, at the age of 82. Born on September 30, 1941, in Germany, Elisabeth's life was a tapestry of love, learning, and legacy, woven with the threads of her passions and relationships.
In 1962, at the age of 20, Elisabeth embarked on a grand adventure, moving to the United States with her beloved husband, Jesse Cole. Their enduring love story began in Germany and flourished across the ocean, celebrating 62 years of marriage filled with mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support.
Elisabeth was the cherished daughter of Gustov and Magdalena Bonner. This love blossomed throughout her life, as she found solace and joy in reading about science and the natural world. Her passion for instrumental classical music provided a soundtrack to her life's moments, both big and small.
Elisabeth had an affinity for shopping, always taking pleasure in the hunt for the perfect item. Her keen eye for detail and appreciation for beauty were evident in every aspect of her life. Elisabeth's love for social communication shone through in her thoughtful letters, which she penned to friends and family alike. Each missive was a treasure, filled with her personality and love, a tradition that kept her close to those she held dear, no matter the distance.
Elisabeth's heart was truly in her home, where she raised two wonderful children, Yasmina Johnson and Michael (married to Lauri) Cole. She was a guiding star in their lives, imparting wisdom and kindness that will forever remain in their hearts. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Desiree Johnson, Leah Szalai, and Anna (married to Greg) Concilla, who will remember her for her gentle spirit and the stories she shared. The joy of her life continued with her great-grandchildren, Lark, Graham, and Andrea, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
VISITATION will be held on WEDNESDAY, July 31st from 3pm – 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. No flowers please.
