Eleanor Greco's Obituary
Eleanor Greco nee Verba was born on February 25, 1930 and raised on West 43rd and Lorain of the Westside of Cleveland. Eleanor was the daughter of Nickolas and Mary Verba and sister to brother Joe and sister Mary.
Eleanor in 1946 started working at Num Num’s Potato Chips where she met Thomas J. Greco Sr. Thomas Sr. served in WWII in the Pacific namely Korea and Okinawa from 1944 to 1946, was a decorated war veteran with numerous medals. On August 30th, 1947 Eleanor became the beloved wife to Thomas Sr. they were married, and their life began.
Thomas Sr. and Eleanor were the proud parents to five children Kathleen, Dominic, Patricia, Thomas Jr. and Johnny. They had numerous Grand Children and Great Grand Children.
Both Eleanor and Thomas Sr. lived in Berea, Columbia Station and then finally in Strongsville which they lived from 1959 to 2020. Thomas Sr. passed away on December 1, 2015 at the age of 89. Thomas Sr. had a long career, in 1949 he started Greco Cement Contracting Company as President and in 1970 Thomas Sr. formed Greco Homes Inc as President. Thomas Sr. and Eleanor were married for 68 years. Eleanor was more than a mother to their family and will be missed by everyone.Visitation will be held at Jardine Funeral Home 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville OH, 44136 Monday January 18, 2021 from 10AM-12PM where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12PM. Interment Holy Cross, Brook Park.
