Elaine Reusch's Obituary
Elaine Reusch of Strongsville, OH, passed away on May 16, 2026. She was born on November 8th, 1934 in Exeter, New Hampshire. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard.
Loving mother of Cherylann (Joel) Greenman of Illinois, and Suzan (Tom) Myers of Michigan.
Elaine moved to Washington DC to work for the CIA where she met Richard and married. Richard and Elaine made their lifelong home in greater Cleveland, Ohio. Elaine had a long career working for the engineering firm Adachi-Ciuni-Lynn. When she retired, she did volunteer work at the gift shop at Parma Hospital and held a job at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Tri-City West Campus.
Elaine loved to travel with her husband and attend the theater. She found pleasure in her daughter Cheryl’s unique ability to create beautiful heirloom needlepoint pieces that she displayed throughout her house. She also took many trips to the casino, playing the slot machines with her daughter, Suzan. Growing up in New England, you would often find Elaine enjoying one of the biggest lobsters she could eat, teaching family to properly crack it open and a big scoop of butter pecan ice cream.
Honoring wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Saint Colette’s Catholic Church in Brunswick, OH. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with her husband.
