Edwin Erick Nelson's Obituary
Edwin Erick Nelson, 87, of Strongsville, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb 16, 2024. Ed was married to his wife, the love of his life, Dottie (McDaniel) Nelson for 67 years. Ed is survived by his wife Dottie, daughters Vicky (Eric) Schroeter, Kim (Mark) Kaminski and son Scott (Annie) Nelson. Grandsons Keith (Tiffany) Schroeter, Matthew (Brittany) Kaminski, Granddaughters Kalie (Kevin) Kowal and Kristin (Bill) Jacobi. Great Grandsons Zach (Heather) Schroeter, Ian Schroeter, Caden Jacobi, Great Granddaughter Avery Kaminski and Great Great Granddaughter Angel Schroeter. Ed was born in Grassflat, PA and was preceded in death by parents, Erick Gust Nelson and Helen (Wick) Nelson of Grassflat, PA both by way of Sweden. Brothers Ken and Dennis, Sisters Laura McGovern and Ruby. Ed retired from GM after a long career. He loved his GM cars, trading in for a new one every 3 yrs. Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved camping, gardening, country music, newspapers, puzzles and especially socializing with his many friends and cousins over the years. He was a loyal, active member of the Eagles. We will all miss his humorous and congenial nature. A celebration of life will be held at the Brunswick Eagles on FRIDAY, March 1, 2024 from 5PM-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
