Edward Lauer, age 84, passed away July 8, 2017. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Allen) for 61 years. Cherished father of Doug Lauer (Tawni) and Brenda Sima (Kurt). Dear brother of the late Arthur, Robert and Nannette. Loving grandfather of Rachel Lauer Thomas (Dan), Emmalee Sima and Clark Sima; great-grandfather of Lylah and Ian Thomas. Proud U.S. Navy veteran. “Big Ed” was an avid golfer and longtime member of Ridgewood Golf Association. “Are we having fun yet?” was one of “Big Ed’s” favorite sayings! He was a small business owner of Lauer Enterprises. VISITATION 3-7 PM FRIDAY at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE. Memorial Mass 10 AM Saturday at St. John Neumann Church, Strongsville. Interment Private.
