To the family of Edward Bond. I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Ed Bond from working as a secretary in the office of Adams Automatic. He and his wife were the best employers I have ever experienced in my many years as an office worker. He was humble, kind, great sense of humor, intelligent and fair. If you ever thanked him for whatever reason, he would turn it around and "thank You". I will never forget Ed or his wife, Adria. Their work ethic is stellar, and you would be hard-pressed to find another couple who loved and cared for each other as Ed and Adria. Prayers go out to his family.

I want to share one of my most vivid memories of Eddy. This goes back to probably circa 1963 or 1964. Eddy was the place-kicker for the Avon High School football team in those days. I remember him paying me a visit and asking if I planned to play football. I told that I most certainly did. He said, well you are not particular big so you should be a place-kicker like me, and I will teach you how to be a place-kicker. Eddy gave me lessons and he gave me his football shoes (those things were expensive back then and so inferior to what players have today).

As it turns out, I didn't really take to place-kicking but instead became a defensive back. But I love so much the fact that he cared enough about me to give me those kicking lessons and those terrible shoes. It's the thought that counts! Thanks so much Eddy! RIP.

Eddy will be fondly remembered for his humor and upbeat attitude, for all the time he spent acting as concierge for dinner/theatre outings and coordinating high school reunions (he already started organizing the committee for our next reunion in 2024), and for the love he outwardly expressed for his wife, Adria, and his family. This beautiful character will definitely be missed.
