Edward Drude's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Drude, a cherished father, grandfather, and veteran, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 97 years. Born on September 4, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, Edward lived a life rich in love, service, and dedication.
Edward was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. He exemplified dedication not only in his education but also through his commitment to his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His military service instilled in him the values of honor and duty that he carried throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved children, Jeff and Nancy (Brian Wolfe), and the late Greg, as well as two grandchildren. Edward is also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Reinker.
An avid outdoorsman, Edward found joy in fishing and gardening, where he nurtured both plants and relationships with the same patience and care. His passion for life and laughter, coupled with his unwavering support for his family, leaves a lasting legacy that will be remembered fondly.
A gathering will be held at Jardine Funeral Home at 15822 Pearl Rd, Strongsville OH on Sunday, March 1st from 2P.M. to 6P.M. A graveside service will be held at Lutheran Cemetery at 4566 Pearl Rd, Cleveland OH the following day, Monday the 2nd at 11A.M.
As we say goodbye, we invite those who knew him to join in remembering a man who touched many lives with his kindness, wisdom, and love. In the spirit of Edward’s enduring legacy, may we carry forward his warmth and generosity in our own lives.
