Edna L. Barrington's Obituary
Edna L. Barrington (nee Sloan), age 78, passed away March 29, 2018. Beloved wife of Gene Barrington for 39 years. Cherished mother of Fritz Beinhoff and Nancy Oberacker (Bruce, deceased). Step-mother of Samantha Barrington. Sister of Virginia Dolan (Andy, deceased) and Lenore Gronert (Bob). Daughter of the late Clifford and Paula Sloan. Loving grandmother of David (Briana), Ricky and Jaret Oberacker. Great grandmother of Cameron and Dylan.
Edna was an avid reader and never stopped learning, researching and discussing current topics with others. She was a strong believer in our rights for freedom and democracy and fought to preserve these rights by getting involved with numerous local and national issues.
She worked hard during her early adulthood to raise and provide for her children based on the examples she learned from her parents, then was extremely blessed to find her soul mate and true love, Gene, in midlife to fill out her family and accompany her on the remainder of her journey in this life. Her family was at her side when she embarked on her next journey.
VISITATION 5-8 PM TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2018 at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE with Funeral Service to follow at 8 PM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made in Edna’s honor to the Memory Care Fund in the care of the Kemper House, 10890 Prospect Road, Strongsville, OH 44149.
