Dorothy Kochan's Obituary
Dorothy Kochan (nee Warbel), age 86. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas. Loving mother of Tonya Kochan and mother in law of Mark Elkovitch, who she adored. Survived by loving brother John (Esther) of Wolf Run, OH, Sister in law Olga (Daniel) Sabula of Broadview Heights, OH, and brother in law Michael of Middleburg Heights. Preceded in death by Sisters: Nellie (Ben) Redovian, Mary (Ted) Gregor, Annie (Arlie) Gregor, and brothers: Nicholas, Lucas (Emma), Mike (Bobbie), Steve (Julie), Samuel (Ann), and cousin David Warbel.
Dorothy was a loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and a great, great, great niece. She also leaves behind her beloved special friends, the Kudej family, who meant the world to her.
Dorothy was born in Wolf Run, Ohio to the late Ciprian and Irene Kaniuk Warbel. She graduated from Bergholz High School and married Nick in Wolf Run on August 10, 1956. They settled in Middleburg Heights, OH where they spent the rest of their lives. Nick passed away on November 20, 2006. The family is very grateful for the loving care that Dorothy received from the staff at St. Mary of the Woods assisted living in Avon, OH. They started as caregivers and became her family.
VISITATION MONDAY from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Rd. Strongsville. PARASTAS SERVICE 7 PM. FUNERAL SERVICE TUESDAY JULY 30, 2019 at 10:30 AM at ARCHANGEL MICHAEL ORTHODOX CHURCH, 5025 E. Mill Rd. Broadview Heights, OH 44147. Interment Woodvale Cemetery.
