Dorothy "Dot" Doran's Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Dorothy “Dot” Doran at the age of 86 years. Dot was born December 25th, 1938 in Uno Park, Ontario, Canada and was a proud Christmas Baby. She was preceded in death by her parents John “Jack” Soucie and Gladys Soucie (Thurlow). She was the Beloved wife of Tony for 65 years; loving mother of Catherine Mattson (Tim), Stephen (Sarah) and James (JoAnne); Dear Grandmother of Karley, Aubreigh, Kyle, Joss, Natalie, Anthony, Allison and Caroline; Sister of Gwen Grignon (Grump) and the late Shirley McQuaid (Gerald) and Leona Kervin (Jerry); Sister-in-law of Rod (Connie) and Jim (Eleanor).
Dot enjoyed spending time hosting gatherings for her beloved family and friends. While spending winters in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, she enjoyed her time golfing, walking, playing bridge and enjoying the warm weather. For many years she was an active member of her local PEO chapter and delivered meals on wheels.
A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, July 29th, from 4-6 p.m. at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road Strongsville, OH 44136 with a service of remembrance to follow at 6 p.m.
