Donna Ciryak's Obituary
Donna Ciryak (nee Hicar) passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 76 in Strongsville, Ohio. Born on October 11, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, Donna's life was a testament to love, service, and faith.
Donna was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Ciryak, with whom she shared 46 years of devoted marriage. Together, they built a life filled with joy and companionship. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Hicar and the daughter-in-law of John and Laverne Smith. In addition to her husband Thomas, Donna is survived by her brothers, Mark Hicar (Zarmell) and Michael Hicar (Bettina). She is a sister-in-law to Denny Smith, Maureen Davidson, and Frank, David, and Michael Ciryak.
Professionally, Donna served with distinction as a U.S. Customs inspector, a role she carried out with integrity and commitment for 38 years until her retirement. Her colleagues revered her for her steadfast work ethic and the camaraderie she fostered.
Traveling was one of Donna's greatest joys, especially when shared with her husband, Tom. The memories they created on their journeys together were among her most treasured. Her sense of adventure and love for exploring the world were infectious, inspiring others to seek out the beauty of new places.
Donna's legacy is one of love, service, and faith. Her memory will be held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
VISITATION TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2025 from 3PM-7PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2025 at 10AM at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 12700 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
