Donald V. Blank's Obituary
Mr. Donald V. Blank, born on April 16, 1930, to the late Alba, passed away peacefully at the of age 88 on May 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Donald leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret (nee Sansbury), along with his three daughters, Donna Jersha (Eugene), Karen Weir (Dan), and Linda Jercha (Mark ). Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannon (Josh), Steven (Alicia), Kevin (Emily), Megan, Michael (Lauren), and Erin; and was the best Big Papa to great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Hudson, Ryan, Bryce, and Parker. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest; sister, LaVerne; and granddaughter, Jamie.
Donald dedicated 51 years to working at Channel 5 WEWS as a cameraman and continuity film supervisor. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, sports enthusiast and lover of dachshunds. Ohio State attire welcomed at services in honor of Don.
Services will be held at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio, on Monday, May 7, 2018. Calling hours on Monday will be from 11 AM to 1 PM with a service following at 1 PM.
