Don Dodge's Obituary
Don Dodge, 72, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
He was born on July 18, 1951, in Berea, to the late Walter and Marion (nee Clark) Dodge.
Don graduated from Strongsville High School in the class of 1970. He married Shelley Shamp on August 10, 1991. They have been married for 32 years.
He was a car enthusiast owning a 1966 Chevelle SS, drag racing, painting cars, as well as working on them with his friends and family. Don was also a private pilot and loved flying his Cherokee 180. Shelley and Don enjoyed being together including camping all over the United States (in their RV), building and spending the summer weekends at their second home on Middle Bass Island, golfing, and boating. He was a handyman and was always there to help his friends and family when they needed him. Don loved animals, especially Kacey and Cooper.
Don is survived by his wife Shelley Dodge; children Bobby (Anina) Carpenter, Dawn Carpenter, and Mark (Lindsey) Carpenter; siblings Deborah White, Doreen (Steve) Bogar, Douglas (Linda) Dodge, and Denise (Greg) Crossen; grandchildren Shane, Kristie, Chandler, Morgan, Drake, Logan, and Theo; greatgrandchildren Aiden, Leo, and Delilah; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on SATURDAY, April 20th at 12:00pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd., Brunswick, OH. Weather permitting, please drive your muscle or classic car.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church, Brunswick, or the American Heart & Cancer Associations.
