Dominic Eugene Pompelia, age 89, passed away May 4, 2021. Beloved husband of 61 years to Audrey M. Pompelia (nee Lehman). Loving father of Dominic (Helen) Pompelia Jr., Gregory S. Pompelia, Mark A. Pompelia, Lisa M. (William) Burns. Cherished grandfather of Maria Pompelia. He is preceded in death by his parents August & Mary Pompelia; siblings Laura, Anne, Samuel, William, August, Gene, Sara, Donald, Jenny, Mary Etta, and Charles. Dominic is a Korean War veteran and retired after many years from Ohio Crankshaft. He loved gardening, canning, making wine, and excelled in high school athletics. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136, Sunday May 9, 2021 from 12-4PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 16271 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136, Monday May 10, 2021 at 11AM. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street NW, Washington D.C. 20006
