Dennis Richard Hill's Obituary
Dennis R. Hill, 77 of Strongsville, OH passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 1, 2025, after a long battle with Lewy Body mixed dementia. Predeceased by his parents Ormond and Evelyn Hill, he is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Lass of 12 years; children Jason (Catherine) Hill of Richmond TX; Jeffrey Hill of Brecksville OH; step-son Garrett Lass of Medina OH; grandson Joshua Hill of Brecksville OH; sister Nancy (Roger) Elliott of Plymouth MI; nephew Matthew (Jillian) Elliott of Pinckney, MI, and many cousins. He was born on November 29, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Cooley High School, class of 1965. He served in the US Army from 1966-1968. Following his service, he attended Wayne State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He went on to a successful career with DuPont Automotive Finishes for 42 years in sales leadership. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Parma, OH, for 48 years and sang in the choir for 20+ years. He was an avid golfer enjoying golfing trips with league friends, achieving the rare feat of two holes-in-one. He was also an avid bowler, achieving 2 perfect games. He enjoyed his large extended family traveling to reunions, travel throughout the US, hiking, fishing with his sons, and other hobbies. Visitation will be held on March 20, 2025, at 11:30 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:30 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church of Parma at 6041 Ridge Rd. There will be a military interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH for family and friends following the service.
