Dennis William Fannin's Obituary
Dennis William Fannin, born December 5, 1926, age 91, from Strongsville, OH passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018. Loving husband of Helen A. (Kazmierczak) for 70+ years. Survivors include his wife Helen; his children Dennis M. (Christine), David L. (Nancy), Diane L. (Rory O'Malley) and Denise A. Mayberry; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Son of the late Richard and Anna (Schwartz). Dear Brother of the late Richard C. Fannin; and beloved uncle. Dennis was a devoted friend to many, most especially his dear friend and business partner Meryl Hossfeld. Dennis was born and raised in Valley City, OH. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stateside, as a carpenter. He and Helen raised their family in the home he built in Strongsville. Dennis then formed Fannin Builders, Inc. in 1961 and went on to develop Co-Moor Colony in Strongsville until his retirement in 1991. Dennis continued to share his many talents with family and friends. From his love of wood, he created furniture, frames, toys and beautiful clocks. He often said, "nothing is impossible" and would build something to match your dream. ALL SERVICES SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 2018. VISITATION 11AM-1PM with Funeral Service to follow at 1PM JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment Strongsville Cemetery. Dennis and Helen have been life long members of United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dennis, to Church Street Ministries, 1480 W. Bagley Road, Berea, OH 44017.
