Denise Marie Gilpen's Obituary
Denise Marie Gilpen, a cherished daughter, loving mother, devoted fiancée, and beloved sister, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, at the age of 52, in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Born on June 21, 1971, to Jerry and Patricia Gilpen.
Denise's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family and her passions. She is preceded in death by her adoring parents, Jerry and Patricia; survived by her fiancé, Kevin Andrews, with whom she shared four years of love and companionship; her daughter, Kayla Marie Gilpen, who was the light of her life; her sister, Beverly (Michael) Barnhardt; her nieces and nephews, Briahna (Brad), Austin, Haley, Christopher (Tanya), Branden, Savanna (Kurtie), and Isaiah; and her great-nieces and nephews, Oaklynn
Bella, Greyson, Wyatt, Oliver, Stella, and Lincoln, and Asher. Denise's love extended to her animal companions as well, including her cherished pets Maya, Dakota, LadyBird, and Khaleesi.
Professionally, Denise dedicated nine years as a paralegal secretary at CRUG Law Firm, where she was respected for her meticulous work, her ability to anticipate the needs of the attorneys she supported, and her unwavering professionalism. Her colleagues will remember her as a pillar of strength and reliability.
Denise's zest for life was evident in her diverse interests and hobbies. An animal lover at heart, she found joy in the company of her pets. She boasted a vivacious spirit that led her to embrace adventures such as kayaking and motorcycle rides. Denise's culinary skills were legendary among her friends and family, particularly her peanut butter squares, peanut butter pie, stuffed shells, and pasta salad, which were the highlights of many gatherings.
Travel and exploration were among Denise's favorite pastimes. She loved the excitement of vacations, especially her trips to Las Vegas, where she indulged in the vibrant energy of the city. When at home, Denise enjoyed unwinding by watching her favorite TV shows, "The Ranch" and "Yellowstone.”
VISITATION will be held on SUNDAY, June 9th, from 11am-3pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held after the visiting hours, please reach out to the family for details.
