Connie L. Staggs' Obituary
Connie L. Staggs, 85, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away on March 23, 2026. Connie was born on September 28, 1940, to Oliver and Lola Wear in Quincy, Illinois. She grew up in Kellerville on the family farm and met her future husband, John Staggs, at Central High School.
After high school, she graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinois and worked as an administrative assistant. Connie and John were married in 1959 and lived in Macomb, Illinois where John was finishing college at Western Illinois University, and Connie worked for the Dean of the Department of Education. They moved to the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio in 1961 where they raised their two daughters and lived for 63 years. During that time, Connie worked for Lorain Tool Enterprises, a family business in Lorain, Ohio, for many years.
Connie was known for being a wonderful hostess and loved to entertain friends. She also kept bountiful flowers outside in the summer and had a talent for making beautiful arrangements, which she turned into a business for several years. She will be remembered for her boundless love of her family, especially her precious grandchildren.
Connie leaves behind her beloved husband of nearly 67 years, John, of Lake Worth, Florida, daughter Lisa Nikrant (Steve), daughter Rebecca Fihe (Tom), and four grandchildren, Trevor Nikrant (Lauren Turner), Alex Nikrant (Amanda), Audrey Fihe, and Natalie Fihe.
ALL SERVICES MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026. A Memorial Gathering will be held MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026 from 12PM-2PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 2PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment will be held privately at Strongsville Cemetery.
