Clara Lillian Strauss' Obituary
Clara Lillian Strauss (nee Dash) joined the Church Triumphant on January 16, 2018. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Katherine and Fred Dashkovitz in 1922. Her siblings, Helen, Henry, George, and Elsie predeceased her as did her husband Joseph E. Strauss (1919-1994) and her son Timothy J. Strauss (1948-1973). She is survived by her daughter Barbara Root (Ronald) and Grandchildren, Eric (Melissa), Sara, and Great Grandchildren, Mason, Lillian, and Laurel, as well as her brother-in-law, Richard Strozewski and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Her life focus was her church and her family. She was devoted to both. She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and served in many other roles. Viewing will be SUNDAY from 2PM to 6PM on January 21, 2018 at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, Ohio. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 22 at 10:30AM with visitation one hour prior at Our Saviors Lutheran Church– 1605 Center Road, Hinckley Ohio. Officiating will be Pr Scott Silcox. Burial will be at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Ohio or Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (Dayton, Ohio). www.jardinefh.com
