We are connected via Charlie's brother Harold at CrossPointe Community in Westlake. After reading Dennis Stiffler's tribute I feel like I know Charlie cause I know Harold. Our love and prayers for Charlie, Jr. and all those who are grieving.
Charlie was one of the first people i met when i joined the post in 2002. he welcomed me like i was family. we became friends and i then met charlie jr.,who also became a good friend. Charlie joined my golf league and played for about 5 yrs. until the old knees gave out. all the guys took an instant liking to him, who would'nt??? we'll never forget his batches of "hillbilly joose"! Such a great guy that we all have had the pleasure to know. he was always a regular out at the horseshoe pits, something he always enjoyed doing. the only thing bigger than the man himself was that great big heart. he would do anything for anyone at any time. gonna miss the big guy. he gets to be with his beloved wife now and our wish is for eternal peace and happiness for Charlie.
