Catherine "Dolly" Bogar's Obituary
Catherine “Dolly” Bogar (nee Maillard) of Olmsted Township, known lovingly to all as Dolly, passed away peacefully, comfortably and surrounded by her family on March 30, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on November 20, 1938, in Rockland, Maine, she lived a life marked by devotion, warmth, and a steadfast love for her family. Dolly was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Ted Bogar Jr., and together they built a family rooted in love, loyalty, and lasting memories. She was a loving mother to Bonny Pultz and her husband Don, the late Linda Reynolds and her husband George, who survives her, Ted Bogar III and his wife Cyndi, Amy Bogar, and Cathy Stocker. She was also the sister of Theresa Maillard-Kullman and sister-in-law of Dennis Bogar (Connie).
Dolly was a cherished Nana to Nicole Pultz and Chuck, Don Pultz Jr. and Jamie, Katie Jones and Jon, Cathy Faulk and Dan, Skip Reynolds, Jessica Nofel and Dustin, Tiffany DeLury and Keith, Ted Bogar IV and Allie, Marc Rivette, Jesse Rivette, Brittany Christian and Jimmy, Brian Gall, Aaron Stocker, and Lila Stocker. She was a proud great-nana to Emily, Zach, Donny III, Kyle, Danielle, Carter, Alex, Danny, Mason, Sammy, Julia, Dominic, Natalie, Alyssa, Brennan, Rowan, and Mia. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave each person in it a sense of being deeply loved and truly valued.
Dolly was the best homemaker, and she carried that role with grace, dedication, and quiet strength. Her home was a place of comfort, welcome, and care, and she had a special way of making ordinary moments feel meaningful. She was the most loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, friend, nana, and great nana and she made everyone feel special and loved. Those who knew her will remember not only her kindness, but also her honest and sometimes sassy spirit, which brought laughter and truth in equal measure.
She had a gift for making people feel seen and appreciated. Dolly’s love was steady and sincere, and it reached far beyond her immediate family. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, her humor, and her ability to speak plainly while still making others feel cherished. Her presence brought comfort, and her memory will remain a source of strength to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
