Catherin "Kate" C. Fritzsche's Obituary
Catherin (Kate) C. Fritzsche, age 95, passed away on April 5, 2024, surrounded by family and friends who loved her. She was born on March 7, 1929, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, to the late Alva and Helen Cox. Kate was the devoted wife of the late James C. Fritzsche, sharing 70 years of cherished memories together.
Kate leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her children: Sue (Dave) Kasik, Marge (Jimmy) Pacino, and James B. (Gabrielle) Fritzsche. Kate was also the proud mother of Carolyn “Lyn” Fritzsche, who preceded her in death. She is remembered fondly by her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Kate was preceded in death by her late siblings: Jeanne Garth, Alva Cox, Janet Marous, and her twin, James Cox.
Kate’s journey through life included her education at Baldwin-Wallace college, and her dedication to raising her family in Parma, Ohio. In her retirement, she found joy in South Carolina, indulging her passions for golfing, swimming, boating, hiking, and entertaining. Kate returned to Ohio following the passing of her beloved husband, Jim, and enjoyed living at Pearl Crossing Independent Living in Strongsville, OH for over 3 years.
A Memorial service to celebrate Kate’s life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Grace Church, located at 7393 Pearl Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH. Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM, followed by the service at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice, 18659 Drake Rd., Strongsville, OH 44136.
Kate will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
