Caroline "Carol" Yankovich's Obituary
Caroline “Carol” Gene Yankovich (nee Cook), 84, passed away April 12, 2024. Beloved wife of 66 years to William Yankovich. Loving mother of Michael Yankovich (Susanne), Kim Renshaw (the late Tim) and the late James Yankovich. Daughter of the late Elizabeth Kollie. Sister of the late Brad Cook. Dear grandmother of Mary, Kelly and Ryan. Great grandmother of Parker. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Carol was born in Columbus, Ohio, and was raised there during her early years. In later years, her family moved to Lakewood, Ohio where she graduated from Lakewood High School. After high school she continued her studies at The Ohio State University. Carol married her junior high school sweetheart, William Yankovich, on April 4, 1958. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage.
Carol most valued her family and friends. Her love for Bill, raising her family, and supporting Bill in building his successful career, were the things she most valued. Carol was very gifted artistically and was gracious in all that she did. Whether that be in how she cared for others, maintained her home or presented herself to others, she left a positive impression on all who met her.
She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Carol’s funeral service and burial will be held privately for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital (donate.lovetotherescue.org).
