Carol Jean Zander, age 83, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on June 6, 2026. She was born on September 16, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and grace.
Carol was a loving, gentle, and adventurous woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. She was a devoted woman of faith, which played an important part in her life and a source of strength throughout the years. Carol carried herself with dignity and style, always well put together and dressed her best, reflecting the pride she took in herself and in the life she built. She had a kind heart, a steady spirit, and a way of making others feel cared for and welcome.
Carol and her beloved husband, Larry Zander, shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. She adored him deeply, and their life together was filled with love, companionship, and devotion. She is now reunited with him in heaven, along with her parents, Ralph and Mary Landolfo, who preceded her in death. Their reunion is a comfort to those who loved her and cherish her memory.
Carol was a devoted mother to her daughters, Cheryl Lynch and Dina Neuman and her husband Matt. Her family was truly the center of her world, and she took great joy in caring for them in every way she could. She was especially known for making sure everyone was always fed and cared for, often preparing her delicious homemade Italian meals with love and pride. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, and her baking was another expression of the affection she so freely gave to those around her.
She was a proud grandmother to Megan Neuman, Sam Lynch and his fiancée Lauren Heinz, and Abby Neuman. Carol treasured her grandchildren and found great happiness in their lives and accomplishments. Her love for them was constant and unconditional, and she leaves behind many cherished memories that will be held close by her family for years to come.
Carol was the bookkeeper for Air Industrial Sales, of which her and Larry owned and operated together for 35+ years before their retirement.
Being avid snow birds, Carol loved her trips to Florida with Larry, the sun, and the beach. She found joy in the warmth and beauty of those places, and they reflected her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She also adored her Glen Manor community of friends, where she shared companionship, laughter, and many meaningful moments. Those friendships were important to her, and she valued the bonds she formed with the people around her.
Carol’s family will greet friends on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 3-7 PM at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10 AM the following day, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish in Brunswick, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
Carol Jean Zander will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle nature. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, family love, and faith. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
