Carol Sizer's Obituary
CAROL M. SIZER, age 69, passed away in peace on Tuesday, September 24th at Southwest General Hospice in Strongsville, Ohio. She was born on December 20, 1949 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to James and Mary (Harris) Cameron. She worked as a nurse for various organizations and accumulated a number of friends throughout her career. Carol ended her legacy after a surprisingly short battle with liver cancer. We think she was just avoiding moving back in with her daughter (and best friend) Kelly Bowman along with her nurturing son-in-law Sean Bowman. Carol was renowned for being a bit too loud (co-captain of Team Scream). You always knew where she stood as she never held back her opinion. She constantly over-fed her rescue dog Ringo claiming that his weight-gain wasn’t her fault because “he has a thyroid problem.” Her presence was a requirement for any fun party. She was fiercely loyal and kind and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her children - Kelly (Sean) Bowman, Scott (Bridget) Sizer, and Sean Sizer; her siblings - Sue (Harry-deceased) Murphy, Paul (Marilyn) Cameron and Jean (Joe) Cameron; and her 4 grandchildren - Lucas Bowman, Sienna Sizer, Nolan Sizer and Jennifer Sizer. She will be joining her other sister Ann (Jerry) Hines in heaven. Special thanks goes out to her sister Sue-Sue as well as her close friend “uncle” Richard Dowell who were tremendously supportive to Carol’s children during her final days. Family and friends whose lives Carol touched are invited to Jardine Funeral Home 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136 from 12-4 pm on Saturday, September 28th to share their memories, grieve, and support each other. A short service will commence at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, we would request that donations be made to Shalom Community Center P.O.
Box 451 Bloomington, IN 47402.
