Brenda J. Burk's Obituary
Brenda J. Burk, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2026, at the age of 68. Brenda was born on March 19, 1957 in Medina, Ohio to the late Carl Burk and Marilyn Burk (nee Fuller). Brenda's life was a testament to her unwavering kindness and the joy she brought to those around her.
Brenda grew up and was a longtime resident of Strongsville, Ohio. Her early years were filled with the love and camaraderie of her siblings, Carolyn Burk, Debra Faulds (the late Stuart), and David Burk (Cheryl). She grew up to be a beacon of support and affection within her family, taking immense pride in her role as an aunt to Christine, Holly (Christopher), Ryan (Sarah), Hannah, and Tyler, and as a great aunt to Harper and Axel. Brenda was also a loving niece of Cam and Ken Turk and Paul and Susan Fuller. She was a beloved cousin of Brian and Jamie Turk, and the late Michael Turk. Her family will remember her as a guiding light, always ready with a word of encouragement and a heart full of love.
Professionally, Brenda dedicated many years of her life as a medical secretary, where her attention to detail and compassionate nature made her an invaluable asset to the medical community. Her colleagues respected her for her work ethic and her ability to bring warmth and efficiency to any task she undertook.
Brenda's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid gardener, finding peace and contentment in the beauty and tranquility of her garden. Her hands were rarely still, as she delighted in various crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creative spirit. She also enjoyed thrifting and taking trips to Amish country. Brenda's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church, where she formed lasting friendships and served her community with grace and humility.
ALL SERVICES TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2026. VISITATION will be held TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2026 from 11AM-12PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 12PM at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 3480 Laurel Rd. Brunswick, OH 44212. Interment will immediately follow the service at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
