Brandon Joseph Knight's Obituary
Brandon Joseph Knight, brought an immeasurable amount of joy and laughter into the world during his 42 years unexpectedly passed away in Colorado Springs on January 28, 2025. Born on December 16, 1982, he embarked on a life filled with love, service, and the kind of humor that could light up even the dimmest of rooms.
Brandon's life was a masterclass in love and laughter. A loving husband of 14 years to Kelly Knight. Together they raised two amazing boys, Kane and Colt, who inherited their father's wit and compassionate spirit. Son of Christine Brinkis (Dr. Edmund Brinkis) and the late Dr. John Louis Knight III. Brandon's family roots were as deep and nurturing as his boisterous laugh. His siblings, Kristin Dellapenna (Ryan), John Michael Knight, and Jordan Knight (Melisa Jones-Knight), along with and his adored nieces, Kennedy Christine Noel, Olivia Grace, and Isabella Marie, can attest that Brandon was the fun uncle who could turn any family gathering into a comedy show.
A proud U.S Army Veteran serving in the 10th Mountain Division, Brandon served his country with bravery and a touch of irreverence during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan as well as Kuwait. His fellow soldiers remember him as the guy who could find a punchline in the trenches and make the weight of duty feel just a little lighter.
Brandon's interests were as colorful as his personality. A true family man, he loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and children, except maybe for his dogs, which he affectionately referred to as his "hogs." Baker May, Boo, Ripley, and the late Winslow, Sioux, and Delilah were his four-legged jesters, always ready to join in on the family fun or a lazy "bed day." His strong work ethic was only matched by his passion for golfing, working out and training. Above all else, Brandon was a devoted husband and father whose life revolved proudly around his wife and his children.
Brandon's legacy is one of laughter, love, and the occasional well-timed dad joke. His ability to find humor in the everyday and his unwavering commitment to his family are the hallmarks of a life extraordinarily well-lived. While the world is a little less funny without him, the echoes of his laughter will resonate in the hearts of those who knew him best.
