Beverly Joanne Glissman's Obituary
Beverly Joanne Glissman, aged 70, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, in Strongsville, OH. Born on February 7, 1954, in Cleveland, OH, Beverly was a lifelong resident of the area, known for her radiant smile and generous heart.
A devoted wife, Beverly shared 43 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gordon Glissman. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support for each other. She was a nurturing mother to her children, Gordon "Tom" Thomas Glissman (Sarah) and Allison (Colin) Boyle, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and joy.
Beverly was the cherished sister of Carolyn Griffis and Barbie Shepherd, and the treasured daughter of the late Thomas and Doreen Phillips. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense happiness, and she showered her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Juliet, and Beau Glissman, and Adeline and Connor Boyle, with love and affection, creating memories that will be forever held dear.
Bev’s spirit illuminated the lives of all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasure of planting flowers, nurturing them with care and watching them bloom. Through her homemade treats and annual holiday cookie trays, Bev brought warmth and happiness to countless events. A loyal Ohio State fan, her tailgates were more than just gatherings; they were celebrations of camaraderie and connection, where she welcomed all with open arms and a generous spirit. As a cherished member of her golf league, she cultivated enduring friendships with fellow women, sharing laughter and stories on the green. And amidst the magic of Disney World, she reveled in precious moments with her family, including a memorable trip with her husband, children, and grandchildren just this past spring. It was her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother that defined her most, and time with her children and grandchildren brought her the most joy. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion—a testament to a life lived with love and grace.
