Betty Joan Zuzelski's Obituary
Betty J. Zuzelski, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on September 13, 1934, in Cleveland, to John and Loral Swift. She was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.
After graduating from Berea High School, Betty embarked on a fulfilling career with the Maple Heights Board of Education, where she worked diligently for 35 years.
Betty was married to the love of her life, Louis Zuzelski, in January of 1957, and together they shared 54 years of marriage filled with joy, challenges, and countless memories until his passing in 2011. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and mutual respect.
Known for her exquisite art of flower arranging, Betty spent over 50 years perfecting her craft. Her arrangements were not merely decorations but expressions of her inner beauty and creativity. Her eye for color and design brought joy to many, especially during the holiday gatherings she so loved to host. These occasions were highlights of the year for Betty, as they brought together the people, she cherished the most.
She is survived by her loving children, Edward (Deborah) Zuzelski and Mary Zuzelski. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Louis Zuzelski. Betty's role as a mother was one of her greatest sources of pride, and she embraced each moment with her family with warmth and enthusiasm.
VISITATION will be held on THURSDAY, April 11th from 10am – 11am at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on the same day, at 11am, also at Jardine Funeral Home. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio.
