Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Rizzardi family. We are so sorry for your loss and pray for you peace and comfort.
Betty was a most loving, wonderful, active member of St. John Neumann praying community. She did everything there was to be done. She was a member and treasurer of the parish St. Vincent DePaul, the organization that helps people in need. She was treasurer of that group. She worked hard on every social concerns activity we had. She was a member of the Social Concerns Core team, cooked and shared dinner with the men at Procop House and Fulton House once a month, cooked and served the poor at St. Pat's on Bridge Ave. quarterly, and helped with gifts for the needy through our Giving Tree at Christmas. Betty also delivered meals on wheels and was active in the Strongsville Historical Society. She was an usher, Eucharistic minister, and a greeter at the 9:00 liturgy at St. John Neumann each Sunday. She also organized a beautiful Ladies' Tea each fall which raised about $1500 which was always donated to a worthy charity. Everyone she met became her friend because she was so loving and down to earth. We could always share a laugh with Betty. Whenever anyone asked her how she was Betty would always answer, "Peachy, just peachy." So Betty, our Miss Peachy, was a friend, and a hero who will be deeply missed. She is definitely one of the Saints of St. John Neumann.

What a wonderful lady! I fondly remember Lavigne Family parties in Solon and Willoughby Hills where Betty was always in attendance and always so nice us Garry kids. I am sending my deepest sympathies and prayers to my Aunt Rose and Uncle Stan at this difficult time.
Betty = you were my dearest friend and I will miss you greatly. I am so devastated by your passing. Your smile, laugh and friendship is something I will always cherish. Love you. Rest is peace. Dot Dowling
