Betty Jane Bremenour (nee Hornick), a beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, in Strongsville, Ohio, at the age of 95. Born on August 21, 1929, to the late Joseph and Mary Hornick, Betty Jane lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her dedication to family, her passion for her interests, and her unwavering kindness.
Betty Jane was the beloved wife of the late William Bremenour, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage. She was a loving mother to William P. Bremenour (Susan) and Deborah A. Perciak (Mayor Tom Perciak), instilling in them values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of family. As a sister, she shared a special bond with William Hornick (Carrie) and the late Margaret Kupstas (Ted), Kathryn Markotan (Julius), Edward Hornick, Helen Simmons (Bob), Joseph Hornick (Nancy), Andrew Hornick (Rose; surviving), and Bobby Hornick. Her role as a cherished grandmother to James, Tom Jr, Patricia, and Robert, and as a great grandmother to seven and great-great grandmother to one and one more on the way, brought her immeasurable joy.
Betty Jane's professional life was characterized by her tenure at Ohio Bell, where she retired as a scheduler. Her colleagues knew her as a dedicated and meticulous worker, always ensuring that operations ran smoothly and efficiently. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Betty Jane's interests and hobbies brought her much happiness and fulfillment. She was very passionate about baking, often delighting family and friends with her delicious creations. Her love for taking care of her yard and pool reflected her appreciation for nature and the outdoors, and these spaces became a sanctuary for relaxation and family gatherings.
In every aspect of her life, Betty Jane exemplified grace and generosity. She was a woman who listened more than she spoke, and when she did speak, her words were thoughtful and kind. Betty Jane's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. Her family will remember her as the heart of their home, a woman who taught them the value of togetherness and the beauty of everyday moments. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared and the traditions passed down.
VISITATION FRIDAY OCTOBER 11, 2024 3PM-7PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on SATURDAY at 10AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 1505 Denison Ave Cleveland, Ohio 44109. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
